About Fort Pitt Classic Cars
Consignment Auto Sales
Fort Pitt Classic Cars is a car dealer in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It is listed at 1865 Main St, Pittsburgh, PA 15215, which places it among the local businesses of Pittsburgh that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as automobile storage facility, car detailing service, so it may cover more than the name suggests.
Auto parts stores stock filters, brakes, batteries, fluids and tools, test batteries and read check-engine codes for free, and most lend specialty tools against a deposit. Salvage yards sell used parts at a fraction of new prices, either pulled by staff or by you at a self-service yard, and they buy junk cars. Car dealers sell new and used vehicles and run service departments with factory-trained technicians. Gas stations and truck stops supply fuel, air and basic supplies, and EV charging stations are spreading along highways and in shopping-center lots. Welding and fabrication shops build brackets, trailers and custom exhaust, and rental agencies supply trucks, trailers and equipment by the day.
The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 8 amβ4:30 pm. Note that it does not open on Sunday. Pittsburgh is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Pittsburgh is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I have a 2024 BMW SUV that I believe was damaged at the car wash. Fort Pitt Classics, and Jason specifically, did such an amazing job bringing back the showroom shine that was lost in the car wash. He also educated me on how to car for my car going forward. Yes, it requires hand washing. When I picked up the car, it looked like the day I picked it up from the dealer, inside and out. Thank you, Fort Pitt Classics and Jason, for doing such an amazing job.

I recently purchased a car from Fort Pitt Classic Cars, and I have to say, the entire experience exceeded my expectations. Being on the opposite side of the country, I was initially hesitant to make such a big purchase remotely. However, after speaking with Jason, the salesman, I felt confident that I was in the right place. Jason was incredibly knowledgeable and patient, answering all of my questionsβno matter how detailed or crazyβand even sending me videos of the car to give me peace of mind. Once I made my decision, I had the pleasure of working with Ms. Linda, who guided me through the paperwork and shipping process. She made everything seamless, and her customer service was top-notch. Lastly, Mr. Ron, the owner, took the extra step of calling me personally and sending pictures of the car as it left their shop. He even followed up with an email to make sure I received the car and was completely happy with it. That level of personal attention really speaks volumes about the integrity and care Fort Pitt Classic Cars puts into their work. From start to finish, I felt like a valued customer, and I truly appreciate the first-class service I received. I hope to do business with t

Do not take your car here for Restoration. Mechanic where i had the car retired during Restoration, Ron was great to get car in fast. Was charged a ton of hrs and money and work was not complete. On the invoice it actually says in progress but they want paid for hrs worked. Also invoice doesn't show what work you are paying for. Have to ask for hourly break down. I like to pay for things completed. When given an estimate and to find that it doubled. When car was brought to them he looked it over and gave me an estimate. He said there was a lot of things loose and they weren't expecting that, well for one it's under Restoration and fenders and doors needed aligned. So the last guy didn't tighten fenders down. So list of things they did wrong: So exhaust was on car just needs aligned, 15 hrs of work and exhaust hangs 2 inches low, found loose tailpipes and needed adjustment at collectors to manifolds. Fenders and doors never aligned, shifter tunnel mounted crooked so console sits crooked, rear studs replaced but not pressed in, brakelines a mess, wiring a mess. Front end more apart then when dropped off car, front bumper not aligned and bolts loose, rear pumpkin pinion seal was leak

I take my '78 Trans Am here for everything. It's a classic car, so there's always something and sometimes a little troubleshooting needs to be done, but the guys here always make it right and make me feel like I'm their most important customer. Everyone here takes a lot of pride in their work and it shows. In the past 3 years they've installed a rebuilt engine, put a new exhaust system on, fixed guages, repaired leaking fuel lines, replaced brakes, completed a detailed inspection of the car when I first bought it, tuned the carb, installed an alternator, and everything in between. It's hard finding a reliable shop that stands by its work - especially when it comes to classics, so I'm fortunate to have found Fort Pitt Classic Cars and will continue bringing my car here.

Iβve been using Fort Pitt Classic Cars for my 1968 Mustang GT for many years. Great work at fair prices for regular servicing and minor restoration needs. I recently decided it was time to let the car go after almost 20 years of ownership. While talking with Ron, he mentioned that Fort Pitt also had a consignment selling program. After speaking with Colin, I knew that going with the Fort Pitt program would be the best way to get the car sold at the highest price. Colin has a great deal of expertise in the classic car marketplace, particularly Fords. Theyβve recently completed a number of high dollar sales/transactions, and the consignment fee was reasonable for the services performed. I worked together with Colin to come up with the initial selling price. It didnβt take long to get a final sale (to someone in France!) at a price just under the initial listing price. It was really nice to let someone else handle all of the work associated with selling the vehicle β vehicle prep/pictures, listings (on multiple websites), dealing with inquiries, dealing with pre-purchase inspections, and validating the funds transfer. Trying to manage a sale to someone outside of the U.S. wo
